§ IV.07

Wine rooms & bars.

From a tucked-in 200-bottle cellar to a fully appointed butler's bar. Climate, light and humidity considered together.

§ 01
Discipline

We design wine rooms for cellars that will be drunk from — not for display alone. That means climate, humidity, and access first, and the look of the thing second.

A Kloset Worx wine room can run from a single 36-bottle climate cabinet in a butler's pantry to a 2,400-bottle timber-racked room beneath a Hamptons house, with a library ladder, a serving counter, and a steel-and-glass enclosure.

Built across every tier — a wide range of solid hardwoods and finishes through to rare, reclaimed and sourced materials. The exact species, finish and metal are chosen with you at the drawing stage; we are not a catalog.

§ 04 Common questions
Does a wine room need climate control?

For long-term cellaring, yes — we design temperature and humidity control into the room. A display bar for near-term bottles may not, and we advise on the difference at the drawing stage.

How many bottles can a custom wine room hold?

Anywhere from a tucked-in 200-bottle cellar to several thousand, racked to your collection and the way you buy.

How much does a custom wine room or cellar cost?

It varies widely with size, racking material, cooling and finish; you receive a fixed quote after design.

Can you add a bar to the wine room?

Yes — a fully appointed butler's bar with stone, a sink, glass storage and lighting is a common pairing.
