§ IV.02

Reach-in closets.

The prewar bedroom solved.

§ 01
Discipline

The reach-in is where Kloset Worx earns its reputation. New York apartments — particularly pre-war and brownstones — were built before contemporary wardrobes, and most closets are eight feet wide, five feet deep, and twenty-one inches taller than they ought to be. We fix this.

Our reach-in system uses the full ceiling height (often nine feet), introduces drawers at hand level, and hides a surface for the day's valet. The result is roughly forty percent more storage in the same opening.

§ 04 Common questions
How much does a custom reach-in closet cost?

A custom reach-in typically starts near $3,500 and rises with width, drawer count and finish. You receive a fixed quote after we measure the opening.

Can a custom reach-in really add much storage?

Yes. By using the full ceiling height, adding drawers at hand level and a valet surface, our reach-in system yields roughly forty percent more storage in the same opening.

Do custom reach-ins work in prewar apartments and brownstones?

They are built for exactly that. Prewar closets are usually eight feet wide and shallow; we draw to the actual opening and reclaim the wasted height.

How long does a reach-in closet take?

About two to three weeks from the approved drawings to installation.
