§ IV.01

Dressing rooms & walk-ins.

From 48 sq ft to 600 sq ft. The full project.

§ 01
Discipline

A dressing room is the most considered piece of architecture in a residence. It is the room where the day begins and where, more often than not, the day ends. We design every dressing room as a small interior — not as a closet that grew up.

Most begin with a survey of what is actually owned. We catalog garments by category and frequency, factor in the household's seasonal rotation, and only then begin drawing. The result is a room you can find anything in without thinking — which is the entire ambition of the exercise.
