§ XII.04 — Queens

Custom closets in Queens.

Forest Hills Tudors, Long Island City towers, Jackson Heights garden co-ops — Queens has the widest range of building stock in the city, and a workshop minutes away across the bridges.

§ 01
How we work in Queens

Queens runs from 1920s Tudor and prewar co-op to brand-new glass — Forest Hills and Kew Gardens center-hall houses, the prewar garden co-ops of Jackson Heights and Sunnyside, and the Long Island City and Astoria towers along the water. The closet problem is different in each: a Forest Hills Tudor wants storage that respects leaded glass and oak trim; an LIC tower wants every inch of a tight floor plan working.

Because the workshop is just across the river in the Bronx, Queens is one of the closest places we work. Each project is surveyed in person, drawn in CAD, and milled to those exact dimensions, then installed by the same crew that built it.

§ 03
Logistics

Queens is a short trip from the Mott Haven workshop over the RFK or Whitestone bridge, so scheduling is simple and the install crew is the one that milled the work. Floors and routes are protected before anything is carried in, and the room is left clean each evening.

Every project is milled at the Bronx workshop — a 6,000 sq ft workshop on the East River — and installed by the same crew that built it. We do not subcontract the install.
